Overview

Responsibilities:

- Lead, supervise and coordinate cable jointing activities for fibre, earth and power.

- Lead, supervise and coordinate sub-duct and cable installation works

- Oversee field construction activities, including quality assurance

- Maintain and update the project schedule and baseline schedule

- Verify the cable routing by performing physical walk-downs, including documenting footages and access points

- prepare, manage and maintain project documentation, maps and CAD drawings

- Review and record As-Built documentation as required.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, co-workers, supervisors and customers

- Adhere to all Workspace Safety & Health regulations

- Perform general administrative, and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation preparation of correspondences and meeting minutes, maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications and submittals

- Submit accurate reportsa and data in a timely manner

Requirements:

- Diploma or Technical Certification from a recognized instituition

- 2 to 4 years of experience, working with Telecommunications, Outside Plant or Fielding Operations of a Fibre Optic Network

- Knowledge of authority submission requirements for cable laying works

- Field experience required

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional documentation and work prints

- Excellent organizational, planning skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment successfully

- Strong interpersonal, communications and written skills

- Experience with project management processes, tools and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with reproductible results

- Proficient in Autocad and Microsoft Office software preferred

- Knowledge of OTDR testing preferred
