What is sgCareers? How do I use it?

  • You can use sgCareers to view millions of job openings across Singapore. This is possible because sgCareers is a job aggregator website i.e. we display jobs from all possible sources to you – the jobseeker.
  • You can start your job search by going to the home page. On that page, you can type in the job title, categories and/or location.

How do I register on sgCareers?

  • You can register at no cost by signing up here: https://sgcareers.com.sg/sign-up

I forgot my password. How do I get it back?

  • Go here to retrieve your password. You just need to enter your registered email account and we will send it to you immediately.

How do I change my email address?

  • To change your email address, log into your account and follow this path:
  • My Account – ‘Edit Account’ – Edit Email Address

How do I get in touch with your customer support team?

  • If you are still facing issues with your account, go here. You can email us your question and we will get back to you within one business day.

For Candidates

Can I submit my resume while applying for jobs through the site?

  • Yes! You can add as many resumes as you want. This will help you customize your job search and you don’t have to submit a generic application to the various employers you are applying to. You can add and edit these resumes as many times as you want.

How are the jobs displayed?

  • The job openings are displayed by relevance and date (most recent).

Can I create job alerts that I get in my email?

  • Yes, you can create an unlimited number of job alerts based on your preferences. You can edit them, deactivate them and delete them by going to the “My Alerts” section.

Why am I not getting my job alerts?

  • You can check your spam folder to make sure that our emails are not ending up in the wrong place. To make sure that you receive your job alerts, add our email address to your safe senders list.

Why am I getting so few job alerts?

  • Job alerts are based on the keywords that you have used to create them. Certain industries and locations may have few job openings so you could be receiving fewer alerts. You can edit your existing job alerts or create new ones to see if you can get more results.

How do I disable or delete my job alerts?

  • You can go to the job alert page, mouse-over the alert you want to modify and select “Disable” or “Delete” accordingly.

Why am I seeing so few job openings in my field and location?

  • You should check your spelling for the job title and location as well as the state abbreviation. You can also try broadening your search parameters.

I’ve purchased the package, the status is “Processing”, what should I do next? 

  • Once payment has been completed via Paypal, you can post the job immediately. See the next section below on how to start posting a job.
  • The payment may take up to 30 days to be processed but you may post the job ads in advance.


I’ve purchased the package, how do I start job posting? 

  • Posting jobs on sgCareers.com is quite easy, just follow these simple steps:
    • Login to your Employer’s account at sgCareers.com with the username and password
    • Go to “Post a Job”
    • Fill the Job Posting form and preview it.
    • After you’ve filled up the job details, select “Choose A Package” and you should be able to see the package(s) that you have already purchased. (You may also purchase new job packages from this page too)
    • Select any package(s) that you prefer and submit your job post.
    • The post will appear shortly on the homepage listing at https://sgcareers.com.sg/

Where can can I view my job posting?

  • After you have post and purchased the job package, your job should appear shortly on the homepage or search jobs page.
  • You can view or edit your post at your “Jobs Dashboard”.

 

Why does my Job post does not appear on the Google map/ appear at the wrong location?

  • You need to ensure that you keyed in specific Singapore address into the “Location” field, you are required to enter the street no., street name and postal code.
    Eg. 128 Cecil Street, Singapore 069548
  • You can edit your job location by going to “Jobs Dashboard” > “Edit”

 

For how long will my posted jobs remain advertised the site?

  • All jobs remain active on the site for at least 30 days from the date of posting, depending on your job package. You can delete or mark as filled on the “Jobs Dashboard” if necessary.

How do I know the number of job postings left in my package?

  • You can view this information on “My Account” after you login (in the “Job Package” status module ). You can also see this number at the of “Remaining” section.

How long will it take for my job to get reflected on sgCareers site?

  • It takes 5 minutes for a job posted to be visible on the site.

How do I modify a job vacancy that I’ve already posted on the site?

  • To modify a job, you need to follow these steps:
  • Modify a posted job:
    1. Login to your account and click on “Job Dashboard”.
    2. click on “Edit”, update your job info
    3. click on “Save Changes”

How do I view the applications/responses received for the job that I’ve posted?

  • For the job that you’ve posted on sgCareers, you can choose to receive the applications in different ways:
    > Email: Directly receive the applications on the email id or Linkedin profile provided by you while posting the job.
    > Company URL: Redirect the applicant to this URL as soon as he clicks on the “Website” link on your job page.
    > Contact No: You may want to leave your contact number in your job description (this is optional)


Why is there no more free online Job Listing?

  • Our organisation is still supporting the Singapore Fair Consideration Framework & National Jobs Bank, hence previously we are allowing companies to post their executive jobs on our jobs portal for free. However, due to overhead cost for hosting and maintenance, there is need to have a minimum operation fee to keep up with this service. Nevertheless, we still aim to provide employers an affordable option to list their job accordingly to their needs.
