These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of sgCareers, including our website, mobile sites, applications, employer dashboard, job posting tools, candidate profile tools, resume database, messaging features, employer branding pages, video or media features, and any related services we provide.
By accessing or using sgCareers, creating an account, posting a job, submitting a resume, applying for a role, browsing job listings, purchasing a service, or otherwise using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use sgCareers.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any order form, invoice, service agreement, package terms, product-specific terms or written agreement entered into between you and sgCareers.
1. Definitions
In these Terms:
“sgCareers”, “we”, “us” or “our” means [insert company name] and its authorised representatives.
“Platform” means the sgCareers website, applications, databases, dashboards, software, services, content, features and related online services.
“User”, “you” or “your” means any person or organisation accessing or using the Platform, including Job Seekers, Employers, recruiters, advertisers and visitors.
“Job Seeker” means an individual who uses sgCareers to search for jobs, create a profile, upload a resume, apply for jobs or communicate with Employers.
“Employer” means any organisation, recruiter, hiring manager, employment agency, advertiser or representative using sgCareers to post jobs, search for candidates, advertise opportunities or communicate with Job Seekers.
“User Content” means any content, information, data, documents, job posts, resumes, profiles, messages, images, videos, logos, advertisements, links or other materials submitted, uploaded, posted, displayed, transmitted or made available by a User.
“sgCareers Content” means content owned, licensed or provided by sgCareers, including text, graphics, software, designs, layouts, logos, trademarks, interfaces, compilations, data and materials on the Platform.
“Personal Data” has the meaning given under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
2. Scope of Services
sgCareers provides an online platform for employment-related activities, including job search, job advertising, candidate profiles, resume submissions, employer branding and related recruitment support tools.
Unless expressly stated in writing, sgCareers is a technology platform and job portal. sgCareers does not guarantee employment, candidate suitability, interview selection, hiring outcomes, salary levels, work pass approval, employer conduct or job availability.
If sgCareers provides regulated recruitment or placement services, such services will be provided only where sgCareers is appropriately licensed or otherwise permitted under applicable Singapore law.
3. Acceptance of Terms
You agree to use sgCareers at your own risk and in accordance with these Terms, our policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform and will take effect from the date stated. Your continued use of sgCareers after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to sgCareers if we believe a User has breached these Terms, misused the Platform, created risk for sgCareers or other Users, or violated applicable law.
4. Eligibility and Authority
You may use sgCareers only if you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
If you use sgCareers on behalf of a company, partnership, organisation or other entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
Employers are responsible for ensuring that their representatives, employees, agents and service providers comply with these Terms.
5. Account Registration and Security
You may be required to create an account to access certain features.
You agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information. You must not create an account using false information, impersonate another person or organisation, or register on behalf of another party without authority.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access, misuse or a security breach.
We may require verification of your identity, authority, organisation, email address, business registration or other information before allowing access to certain features.
6. Use of sgCareers Content
sgCareers grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for lawful employment-related purposes.
You may view, download or print limited copies of sgCareers Content solely for your personal, internal or authorised business use, provided you do not remove proprietary notices or misuse the content.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, scrape, crawl, frame, mirror, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile or commercially exploit sgCareers Content unless expressly permitted by us in writing.
All intellectual property rights in sgCareers Content remain owned by sgCareers or its licensors.
7. General User Obligations
You agree that you will not use sgCareers to:
- violate any Singapore law or applicable foreign law;
- upload or share false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening or unlawful material;
- infringe copyright, trade marks, trade secrets, privacy rights, confidentiality obligations or other rights of any person;
- impersonate another person, organisation, recruiter, employer or candidate;
- post fake jobs, fake resumes, fake company information or misleading recruitment information;
- collect, use, disclose or process Personal Data unlawfully;
- send spam, unsolicited marketing, phishing messages, malware or harmful code;
- interfere with the security, operation or integrity of the Platform;
- scrape, harvest, mine, download or aggregate candidate, employer or job listing data without written authorisation;
- use automated tools, bots, scripts or crawlers without our prior written consent;
- bypass usage limits, access controls, security measures or subscription restrictions;
- use the Platform for scams, pyramid schemes, money laundering, illegal employment, unlawful work pass arrangements or other unlawful activities; or
- act in a way that damages the reputation, security or operation of sgCareers.
8. Job Seeker Terms
Job Seekers are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of their profiles, resumes, applications, messages and other submitted information.
You must not submit a profile, resume or application on behalf of another person unless authorised by that person and permitted by sgCareers.
When you apply for a job, make your profile searchable, upload your resume, respond to an Employer, or otherwise share information through sgCareers, you understand that relevant information may be made available to Employers, recruiters or other authorised recipients for recruitment-related purposes.
You should not include sensitive Personal Data in your profile or resume unless necessary for the relevant job application.
sgCareers does not guarantee that any Employer will contact, interview, shortlist, hire or respond to you. sgCareers is not responsible for employment decisions made by Employers.
If you delete your account or resume, we may remove it from active display. However, copies may remain in backups, audit logs, legal records, communications already sent to Employers, or Employer systems outside our control.
9. Employer Terms
Employers may use sgCareers only for legitimate recruitment, employer branding and hiring-related purposes.
Employers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and fairness of their job postings, company profiles, screening questions, messages, advertisements and hiring practices.
Employers must not post jobs that are false, misleading, expired, unlawful, discriminatory, exploitative or unrelated to genuine employment opportunities.
Employers must ensure they have all required licences, approvals and authority to advertise roles, recruit candidates, conduct hiring activities and employ workers.
Employment agencies, recruiters or placement intermediaries using sgCareers must comply with all applicable Singapore laws, including any licensing requirements under the Employment Agencies Act and related regulations.
Employers must use candidate information obtained through sgCareers only for recruitment-related purposes and in accordance with the PDPA, our Privacy Policy, these Terms and any applicable agreement with sgCareers.
Employers must not sell, disclose, transfer, publish, scrape, export or use candidate information for marketing, profiling, unrelated business development, lead generation or any purpose unrelated to legitimate recruitment.
10. Fair Employment and Job Advertisement Requirements
Employers must comply with applicable Singapore fair employment laws, regulations, advisories and guidelines, including the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices, MOM requirements, the Fair Consideration Framework where applicable, and the Workplace Fairness Act 2025 when it comes into force.
Job advertisements must be based on objective, job-related criteria, such as skills, qualifications, knowledge, experience and ability to perform the role.
Employers must not include discriminatory requirements, preferences or wording relating to age, race, nationality, sex, marital status, pregnancy, caregiving responsibilities, religion, language, disability, mental health condition or any other protected or inappropriate characteristic, unless the requirement is legally permitted and genuinely necessary for the role.
sgCareers may reject, edit, remove, suspend or require amendment of any job advertisement that we consider unfair, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful or inconsistent with our standards.
11. Prohibited Job Postings
Employers must not post:
- jobs that do not exist or are not genuinely available;
- jobs that misrepresent pay, benefits, location, working hours, seniority, work arrangements or employment status;
- roles requiring unlawful payments, deposits, upfront fees or purchase of products as a condition of employment;
- pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing schemes, chain referral schemes or similar arrangements;
- roles involving illegal activity, scams, unlawful gambling, vice, exploitation or unsafe work;
- commission-only roles unless clearly and accurately disclosed;
- unpaid roles unless clearly disclosed and lawful;
- roles that breach work pass, immigration, manpower or labour requirements;
- roles containing discriminatory, offensive or inappropriate content;
- postings containing irrelevant keywords, hidden text, misleading tags or manipulative search practices;
- postings that redirect candidates primarily to unrelated marketing pages, data collection forms or third-party databases without proper disclosure; or
- postings that infringe third-party rights.
12. Resume Database and Candidate Search
Where sgCareers provides access to candidate profiles or resume databases, access is granted only for legitimate recruitment purposes.
Employers must not download, copy, retain or process candidate data beyond what is necessary for genuine hiring consideration.
Employers must maintain appropriate security safeguards for candidate data and must promptly notify sgCareers of any unauthorised access, disclosure, loss or misuse involving candidate information obtained through sgCareers.
sgCareers may monitor usage patterns and suspend access if we suspect misuse of candidate data.
13. User Content
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights granted to sgCareers under these Terms.
By submitting User Content, you grant sgCareers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display, publish, distribute, adapt, format, transmit and use such User Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, improving and providing sgCareers services.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights, consents, licences and permissions required to submit the User Content and to grant the licence above.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. sgCareers does not endorse User Content and does not guarantee its accuracy, legality, reliability or completeness.
We may review, moderate, edit, reject, remove, restrict or disable access to User Content at our discretion, including where we believe it breaches these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights or our policies.
14. Personal Data and Privacy
sgCareers collects, uses, discloses, stores and processes Personal Data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our Privacy Policy.
By using sgCareers, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data as described in our Privacy Policy and as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform.
Job Seekers understand that when they apply for jobs, make profiles searchable, upload resumes or communicate with Employers, their Personal Data may be disclosed to relevant Employers or authorised recruitment users.
Employers must comply with the PDPA when handling Personal Data obtained from sgCareers. Employers must use such Personal Data only for recruitment purposes, protect it against unauthorised access, and cease retention when it is no longer required for legal or business purposes.
Where required, Employers must respond to access, correction, withdrawal, deletion or other requests from individuals in accordance with applicable data protection law.
If an Employer receives Personal Data from sgCareers and suffers a data breach affecting that data, the Employer must notify sgCareers promptly and cooperate in investigations, remediation and any legally required notifications.
15. Communications, Job Alerts and Marketing
sgCareers may send service messages, account notifications, job alerts, application updates, employer messages and administrative communications.
Where required by law, marketing communications will be sent only with consent or other lawful basis, and recipients may opt out using the unsubscribe method provided.
Users must not use sgCareers messaging tools to send spam, unsolicited marketing, phishing messages, mass promotional messages or irrelevant communications.
16. Fees, Packages and Payment
Certain sgCareers services may require payment, including job posting packages, employer branding services, resume database access, featured listings, subscriptions or other paid services.
Fees, payment terms, package duration, credits, usage limits and renewal terms will be set out in the applicable order form, invoice, online checkout page or written agreement.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, fees are payable in Singapore dollars and are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes.
All payments are non-refundable unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing by sgCareers.
We may suspend or terminate paid services for late payment, chargebacks, misuse or breach of these Terms.
Overdue amounts may be subject to interest, administrative charges, debt recovery costs and suspension of services, to the extent permitted by law and as set out in the applicable order form or invoice.
17. Third-Party Services and Links
sgCareers may contain links to third-party websites, tools, services, payment providers, employer websites, application tracking systems or external job application pages.
Third-party services are not controlled by sgCareers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, accuracy or terms.
Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be governed by separate terms and policies.
18. Platform Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, discontinue or restrict any part of sgCareers at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, virus-free or available at all times.
We may perform maintenance, updates, security checks or changes that affect access or functionality.
19. Security and Misuse
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to sgCareers, other User accounts, systems, networks, servers, databases or data.
You must not probe, scan, test, interfere with, overload, disrupt, attack or compromise the Platform or related systems.
You must not introduce viruses, worms, trojans, malware, spyware, ransomware or harmful code.
We may investigate suspected security breaches and cooperate with law enforcement, regulators or affected parties where appropriate.
20. Intellectual Property Complaints
sgCareers respects intellectual property rights.
If you believe content on sgCareers infringes your copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at [insert email] with:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the rights allegedly infringed;
- the URL or location of the disputed content;
- evidence of ownership or authority;
- a statement that the complaint is made in good faith; and
- any other information reasonably requested by sgCareers.
We may remove or restrict access to disputed content and may terminate repeat infringers.
21. Employer Media, Logos and Branding
Employers who submit logos, images, videos, testimonials, workplace content or branding materials represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights, licences, consents and permissions to use and provide those materials.
Employers grant sgCareers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, resize, format and use such materials for employer branding, job advertising, promotional, marketing and Platform-related purposes.
sgCareers may reject or remove employer media that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, offensive, poor quality, infringing or inconsistent with our policies.
22. Video and Multimedia Services
If sgCareers provides video, profile media or employer branding video services, the following additional terms apply.
Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and rights clearance of video and multimedia content.
Employers must obtain all necessary consents from employees, contractors, interviewees, models, speakers and other persons appearing in or contributing to submitted content.
Video content must not contain false, misleading, confidential, infringing, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, harassing, unsafe or unlawful material.
sgCareers may host, display, edit, format, compress, remove or decline video content at its discretion.
sgCareers does not guarantee views, applications, engagement, ranking, conversion or hiring results from video or employer branding content.
23. No Employment Relationship
sgCareers is not the employer of any Job Seeker and is not responsible for employment decisions made by Employers.
Employers are solely responsible for interviews, offers, employment contracts, salary, benefits, workplace safety, work pass compliance, statutory contributions, tax, leave, termination, employee rights and all employment-related obligations.
Job Seekers and Employers are responsible for conducting their own checks before entering into employment, engagement or contractual arrangements.
24. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Outcome
sgCareers does not guarantee:
- the accuracy or completeness of job postings, resumes, profiles or User Content;
- that a Job Seeker will obtain employment;
- that an Employer will find suitable candidates;
- that any application will be reviewed or responded to;
- that a listed job remains available;
- that a candidate, employer or recruiter is who they claim to be;
- that salary, benefits or working conditions stated by an Employer are accurate; or
- that use of the Platform will produce any specific result.
Users should exercise caution, common sense and independent judgment when interacting with other Users.
25. Disputes Between Users
sgCareers is not responsible for disputes between Job Seekers, Employers, recruiters, advertisers or other Users.
This includes disputes relating to interviews, offers, employment terms, salary, work conditions, discrimination, harassment, termination, candidate suitability, hiring decisions, non-response or misrepresentation.
You release sgCareers, its officers, employees, directors, shareholders, agents and affiliates from claims arising out of or connected with disputes between Users, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
26. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, sgCareers and all sgCareers Content and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
sgCareers disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, availability, security and uninterrupted operation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
27. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, sgCareers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of employment, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or unauthorised access to data, whether arising in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, sgCareers’ total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform, services or these Terms will not exceed the higher of:
- SGD 50; or
- the amount paid by you to sgCareers for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law.
28. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless sgCareers, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives from and against all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from or connected with:
- your use or misuse of the Platform;
- your User Content;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your breach of applicable law;
- your infringement of third-party rights;
- your handling of Personal Data obtained through sgCareers;
- your job postings, hiring practices or employment decisions; or
- any claim brought by another User arising from your conduct.
29. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account or access to sgCareers at any time if:
- you breach these Terms;
- you provide false or misleading information;
- you misuse candidate, employer or Platform data;
- you fail to pay fees when due;
- your conduct creates legal, security, operational or reputational risk;
- we are unable to verify your identity, authority or organisation;
- we are required to do so by law, regulator, court order or government authority; or
- we discontinue the relevant service.
Upon termination, your right to use sgCareers ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, data protection, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and dispute resolution.
30. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
The courts of Singapore will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Platform or sgCareers services, unless sgCareers elects to seek urgent injunctive or protective relief in another jurisdiction.
31. Notices
sgCareers may send notices by email, Platform notification, posting on the Platform or any other reasonable method.
You are responsible for keeping your contact information accurate and up to date.

32. General Terms
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
sgCareers may assign or transfer its rights and obligations to an affiliate, successor, acquirer or purchaser of its business or assets.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in force.
Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any applicable order form or service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and sgCareers regarding use of the Platform.
