Job Description

We are expanding our high-performing events team and seeking a talented and responsible Conventions & Events Manager to lead successful conferences and events for our agency force across Asia and Africa.

If you are a dedicated Events Manager with at least 5 years of experience organizing large-scale conferences and conventions, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, efficient, and calm under pressure. This role includes administrative and operational support for local and international events.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Budget Management

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, event expenses, and deliverables while ensuring a memorable attendee experience.

  • Adhere to internal procurement processes, manage vendor payment timelines, and collaborate with procurement on RFP (Request for Proposal) and sourcing of event support vendors.

Project & Programme Management

  • Partner with vendors for sourcing and cost management of all event deliverables (venue, catering, gifts, entertainment, design concepts, etc.).

  • Coordinate with local business unit events colleagues and external vendors to deliver event programs and materialize objectives.

  • Ensure programs are well-structured and local business units are thoroughly briefed pre-event.

Collaterals Management

  • Manage events and recognition collaterals for Group initiatives.

  • Work closely with vendors to develop practical and useful gifts for incentive trips.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in event planning (corporate events, conventions, or incentive travel).

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Ownership: Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership to lead projects.

  • Attention to Detail: Adept at multitasking and ensuring accuracy across all deliverables.

  • Hands-on Approach: Enjoys pre-event logistics planning and on-site execution.

  • Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) are a plus for post-event reconciliation.
