Overview
Responsibilities:
Provide data analysis and insights to support business planning, including preparation of data to assist preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Forecasting and trend analysis.
Continuously seek to improve quality of reports, accuracy of data and data integrity.
Compile regular risk management reports.
Perform data and portfolio analysis and develop measurable improvements to work processes.
Comply with documentation of key processes and policies to meet all internal reporting requirements as well as regulatory requirements.
Monitor regional economic developments that could affect business and provide analytical support and compile management reports.
Liaise with the team to identify key metrics and develop enhanced reports or business models to monitor these on a regular basis.
Conduct market research; prepare customer presentations.
Build and maintain strong relationship with key project stakeholders.
Research, collate, obtain and analyze risk data for decision making/specific processes.
Provide financial stress test analysis and identify issues needing review.
Prepare reports on findings and make recommendations to management.
Proactively maintain and enhance database tools to ensure they are flexible and meet changing business needs and support business planning.
Provide input during budgeting and reforecasting stages of the business planning timeline.
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Exposure to complex analytical project work highly regarded.
Strong skills in data analysis and reporting.
Advanced Excel skill and other analytical tools.
Effective written and verbal communication and influencing skill.
Good problem solving skill.
Ability to organize own work within defines procedures and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently but in a team environment.
Fundamental knowledge of reporting systems, standards and principles.
Understanding of insurance business processes.
