Full-Stack Developer

Come join Reality Detector (Seer) – a deep-tech startup seed funded by Tim Draper and Draper Associates which is creating AI-powered deception and emotion detection technology to “reveal incongruent words and actions at a glance”. Our vision is to augment human understanding through technology and mission is to build a deception indicator and convince skeptics. To achieve this, we are i) augmenting and commercializing accurate behavioral science with rule-based AI and ii) automating novel automated deep-learning. Our initial product market fit is in creating cutting-edge biometrics to enhance travel across borders and protect innocents from harmful lies. The Full-Stack Developer will be working in a small team including data scientists and software developers to develop the subsequent versions of our computer vision software, especially the audio and NLP features.

Responsibilities
 

·       Lead the frontend software development and communicate well with Computer Vision (CV) engineers. Help prototype audio features and hire audio engineer.

·       Full-stack development of the backend Reality Detector engine and frontend web application, including prototyping a User Interface for automating interviewing.

·       Make sure app scales to the deployment stage

·       Provide assistance on technical documentation

 

Qualifications
 

·       Proven experience in software development in a test-driven environment, building applications for scale

·       Hands-on experience building responsive web applications using JavaScript, Node, SPA frameworks (e.g React), HTML, CSS, and other fundamental web technologies

·       Solid experience with Python/Flask, and REST API integration (preferably GraphQL)

·       Hands-on experience separating workflow into sandbox and live environments (for storage, database and backend engine)

·       Good understanding of proper testing methodologies

·       Good understanding of AWS deployment and configuration, agile software development and database management

·       Experience working with code and project management tools such as Bitbucket, Git, NPM, and Jira.

·       Comfortable explaining technical problems in person and in writing.
