Overview
Responsibilities
Manage and execute engineering consultancy projects (laboratory and site).
Materials testing analysis and testing including sample preparation.
Optical microscopy (especially petrography)
Building materials evaluation and analysis.
Heritage conservation involving architectural and structural aspects
Consolidation of results, technical report writing and presentation where necessary
Independent, comfortable to communicate with various parties, analytical skill, photography and competent with computer applications.
Qualifications & Pre-requisites
Bachelor degree or Diploma in Engineering (Materials, Chemistry and Building Science and other similar).
Relevant previous experience but without degree and diploma may also apply.
Knowledge of building materials will be beneficial,
Experience with Microscopy (Petrography), FTIR and other laboratory technology.
Neat, careful and systematic.
