Job Description:
Working with a small team of dynamic individuals, the Events Specialist will develop and execute events for the agency’s list of luxury lifestyle brand clients in various industries covering fashion, jewellery, beauty, hospitality, private events that include weddings, anniversaries and private parties.
The job scope will cover all relevant researching, planning and implementation work required for the delivery and execution of an event. In addition, she will also be responsible for maintaining and cultivating enduring relationships with clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
– Preparation of event proposals and presentations
– Monitor and manage the project including creation of plans and budgets as well as scope and changes to budgets
– Manage communications, ensuring that any issues, changes, or required performances that impact projects are documented and addressed with the key team members
– Source, establish, develop and actively manage relationships with key vendors providing for the best available resources within budget and overall project success
– Responsible for the procurement of permits, licenses, and all other paperwork for events
– Composing and executing detailed checklists
– Assisting in hands-on set up and tear down
– Maintain complete and updated files with all project/event details and information
– Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, report on key accounts and deliver prompt and sound decisions
– All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
– Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Public Relations or Mass Communications
– Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Event management or Marketing Communications; prior experience in an agency setting and/or Luxury Lifestyle industry preferred
– An existing network of contacts in customer database, design and production vendors will be advantageous
– Strong communications, presentation and writing skills
– A driven self-starter who is passionate and has a positive ‘can do’ and contributory attitude
– Excellent time-management, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Adobe photoshop and illustrator would be advantageous.
